Agriculture Machinery Centre officially handed over farm machinery, workshop tools and equipment, fabrication machines, vehicles, land and buildings under the phase I  to the Farm Machinery Corporation Limited on January 13, 2017 at AMTS conference hall in Paro. During the ceremony, the Offtg Programme Director of AMC and CEO of FMCL formally signed and exchanged the documents  in the presence of Director , Department of Agriculture. With this,  AMC formally hands over the above machines, vehicles, equipment and tools and also land and building in Paro, Bajo, samteling to FMCl to execute the activities. All the FMSCs which are subunits of regionals are also handed over along with land and building.

With this FMCL shall deal with sale of farm machinery and spareparts, hiring services and all repair and installation activities which previously was executed by AMC. Now AMC shall be concentrating on research technology improvement and generation, standards and certification for safe and quality machines use in the country and training all stakeholders in farm mechanization programme.

In phase II,  geog power tillers under hiring and spareparts shall be handed over officially through documents exchange . Informally even these acitivities had been handed over and already being executed by FMCL. 

The machines, equipment, vehicles etc worth approximately Nu120 million at initial value had been handed over.
