As part of the Agriculture Machinery Centre's training mandate, twenty five high school students from Eastern Bhutan are undergoing the farm machinery training under " school farm mechanization programme" in Regional Agriculture Machinery Centre, Khangma from January 3, 2017 onwards for a period of one month. The objective of this new training is to impart the importance and opportunities available in farm mechanization activities in the country. The students shall be introduced to different farm machinery and taught basic knowldege on the maintenance and adjustments during the period. They will learn the operation of power tiller too. The centre hopes they will spread the knowledge gained to their villages and support on basic maintenace to the illeterate machine owners back home.

The timing has been proposely made in January to coincide with their winter vacations engaging them fruitfully during the vacation. This training hereafter will be a routine activity yearly
