Students from Technical training Institutes( TTI) located in Khuruthang, Chumey and Dekiling  will attend the 3 months training in AMC from December as part of their OJT programme. The first batch of students from Chumey started the training from December 1 at Paro. They will be trained in Paro and Samtenling offices of Agriculture Machinery centre. Other students from other two institutes shall join by mid December.

As part of the new concept, the technical students shall learn how to operate power tiller in the first month followed by repair of power tiller in the second month. In the last month, the students shall learn, design and operate fabrication machines and also make a sample machine. The objective behind this training is to provide an option for these technical students to get employed in FMCL as mechanic, as geog power tiller operators or set up their own small farm machinery repair services around the country as entrepreneurs. The genuinely interested students after graduation from their respective institutes which is after 5 months shall also be provided an opportunity to enroll in advance repair course in AMC to upgrade their skill in repair of farm machinery. AMC hopes, the present inconveniences in the back up services on farm mechanization services can greatly be reduced by this initiative.
