Farm mechanization training especially on the operation and maintenance of power tiller was imparted to twenty untrained extension officers from Thimphu, Paro, Haa, Chukha, Samtse, Dagana, Wangdue and Punakha. The training which started from November 14 , 2016 ended on November 25, 2016 with the awarding of certificates. The chief guest during the award of certificate was the Chief Executive Officer of newly established Farm Mechanization Corporation Limited. The training was conducted at AMC, Paro. With this 213 extension officers had been trained so far. The final training for the remaining untrained extension officers shall be done in Regional Agriculture Machinery Centre, Khangma in the month of December and with that AMC shall be completing the training to all extension officers on power tiller.
AMC has plan to provide intensive training in the second round to all extension officers based on the post evaluation feedbacks received after every training. All extension officers had been trained to implement the geog hiring service activity in every geog now.
