The one month or equivalent hours duration training on operation and maintenance of power tiller concluded yesterday at Paro, Samteling and Khangma offices of Agriculture Machinery Centre simultaneously. There were 9 participants, 15 participants and 20 participants who completed the training in Paro, Samteling and Khangma offices respectively. The participants were nominated from Dzongkhags who shall support as operators in the geog in the operation of farm machinery. In total, in the first batch, 44 operators were trained and certified. The training included road and field operations, attachment of implements, trouble shooting and maintenance, traffic awareness by RSTA and traffic officials. The second batch training shall again commence from 2nd week of November. In addition to training, the participants are supported with Nu1200 stipend, public transport to and fro allowance and free accommodation at respective offices.

Also one week block training concluded for the College of Natural Resources students on Farm Machinery on October28, 2016 at Agriculture Machinery Training centre, Paro. Forty students, who were present learnt power tiller trouble shootings and maintenance, post harvest machines operations, electrical and motor connections. Experts were from within Agriculture Machinery Centre. However, AMC had requested CNR to formalize such training which is indeed very useful for students and also while in service and awaiting a response.
