1. Technical committe meeting on food grade material standards requirment

AMC presented food grade study report after comprehensively studying different internationals standards and also visiting factories within Bhutan to Bhutan Standard Bureau Technical Committee 8 ( Mechanical Engineering) on June 26, 2018. After intensive discussion on rice mill, oil expeller and corn flaking machines which were struck due to the food grade material standard report requirement were endorsed. Now the documents shall be for public review through BSB. As of today 7 farm machines have National standards and tests are being conducted based on request and requirement from Private, FMCL and government agencies.
This paves way to have National standards on farm machinery to ensure the end users especially farmers have efficient and safe machines.
This is the 2nd mandate of AMC to come up with standards for farm machinery in the country and also test and recommend on the tested machines to end users.
